Zoology as a basic science becomes the foundation for most of the Modern subjects dealing with animal life.
Irrespective of the opportunities that the currently popular courses in Life sciences offer, Zoology continues to enjoy its own rightful status.
Zoology students have a broad spectrum of job opportunities. Besides as one of the subjects offered for Civil Services and other Competitive Examinations, this traditional subject holds out promise for diverse careers such as Scientists, Research Associates, Technical experts in the fields of Bio-Tech, Forestry, Wildlife Management, Medical, Para-medical fields.
Zoology Students also have an edge over other students to join hospitals like SVIMS, NIMS etc., as technicians in Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Physiotherapy etc.

Our understanding of how animals function and interact has grown explosively in recent years we study about parasites cells organisms Physiology, Genetics, Embryology, Immunology, Ecosystems, Evolution, Animal Bio-technology, and Aquaculture etc.

Departmental Library
- The Departmental library has more over 200 volumes of books for UG students, apart from the college library with numerous zoology related books and 50 volumes for Competitive Examinations.
